Transform your health with light aligned to your biology

I design circadian lighting systems that realign your environment to your biology, helping you sleep better, function better, and build lasting health.

Why lighting matters more than you think

Most modern indoor lighting works against human biology. It disrupts sleep, destabilises hormones, affects mood, reduces metabolic health, influences mitochondrial function, and contributes to long-term cellular issues.

This leaves many health-conscious individuals wondering why they feel tired, wired, or out of sync — even when they do everything else right.

When your environment works against you

You might feel frustrated:

“I’m doing all the right things… why don’t I feel aligned?”

Often, the issue isn’t you — it’s your lighting environment, quietly influencing your biology every single day.

No one should have to struggle with their health because their home is out of sync with how their body works.

A home that supports your biology

Your environment should be an ally.

Your lighting should work with your biology, not interfere with it.

When light aligns with your circadian system, it becomes possible to improve sleep, stabilise mood, support metabolism, enhance cognitive performance, and strengthen long-term vitality.

Your home can become a catalyst for better health.

My approach

I’m Martin Dean — a professional design engineer (MIET) and a graduate in Engineering Science from the University of Liverpool.

My background is in electronics and software design, and for more than twenty years I’ve run my own business specialising in high-end lighting and automation systems for premium residential properties, primarily in London and also in Dubai and other international locations.

My work now focuses on how light shapes human physiology, and how precise, biologically aligned design can restore natural rhythms and support daily well-being.

I apply these principles in my own projects, including a near-Passivhaus new build and an ongoing fully circadian-aligned lighting system in a 350-year-old Grade II* farmhouse in Devon, UK. These experiences, combined with my professional background, give me a practical understanding of both the challenges and the possibilities of creating lighting environments that genuinely support human health.

My aim is to help you understand these principles clearly and apply them in ways that improve how you live, sleep, and feel in your home.

A simple path to a healthier environment

1. Learn the fundamentals

Discover how light affects sleep, metabolism, mood, and cellular health through videos and articles.

2.Assess your environment

Identify where your current lighting may be disrupting your natural rhythms.

3. Apply the principles

Begin integrating circadian lighting strategies into your home and daily routine to support lasting health.
